Fruit Plantation at Schloss Dyck

Welcome to Schloss Dyck's fruit plantation fruit shop. We are looking forward to your visit to Dyck and hope to be able to serve you in our shop.

The apple orchard in Schloss Dyck has a long tradition. Originally set up to supply the extensive castle precinct, the orchard was further extended to become a business concern and for over 50 years has served its customers from near and far with delicious apples. For the county garden show, a new, convenient building was erected at the entrance to Schloss Dyck, right next to a large car park, providing easy access to the park and castle. Since 1992, the Schloss Dyck and Bloemersheim fruit plantations have been farmed jointly.

You will find a wide range of apples and pears, stone fruit and soft fruit from "next door", directly from the farmer, in our courtyard shop. As well as apples and pears, we sell sweet cherries, plums, damsons, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, asparagus, potatoes, apple juice, apple cider, apple chips, Rhenish cabbages, jams, marmalades, honey, fine rapeseed oil, and much more.

Apples are for sale all year round. In April, our asparagus season starts, followed by strawberries at the end of May. In June, the sweet cherries come into their own. In July, the first summer apples are ripe, and the edible plums are especially delicious. In August, we harvest the best of the summer apples and from September onwards, we can offer you Elstar and Rubinette apples, followed by the many other lovely autumn and winter varieties. And finally in October, we harvest the Braeburn apples. We store the winter apples in our apple store until the first summer apples of the new harvest make their appearance.

All the staff and I are looking forward to your visit.
