The Stiftung Schloss Dyck (Schloss Dyck Foundation) was established in 1999 according to the conceptual design of the Landschaftsverband Rheinland (Rhineland Regional Council) as a Centre for Garden Art and Landscape Design. Countess Metternich signed over the castle grounds as well as the English landscape garden to the foundation. The necessary foundation capital was provided by the Landschaftsverband Rheinland, the Rhein-Kreis Neuss (Rhine District of Neuss), the Gemeinde Jüchen (municipality of Jüchen) and the Sparkasse (Savings Bank) Neuss. The Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia made a contribution to the foundation's establishment through the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. The costs of the extensive restoration of the large moated castle grounds and the extension of the impressive landscape park with its new gardens were mainly covered by the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Additional financing of exhibitions, individual restoration measures and projects such as the European Garden Heritage Network, led by Schloss Dyck, is provided by the European Union, the German Federal Government, the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz (German Foundation for Monument Protection), the Kunststiftung NRW (Arts Foundation North Rhine-Westphalia), the Stiftung Kulturpflege und Kulturförderung of the Sparkasse Neuss (Foundation for the Preservation and Promotion of Cultural Heritage) as well as the Regional Councils of the Rhineland and Westfalen-Lippe.
